Tuition for Adults
Learning guitar is a slow process. It's made even slower by learning incorrectly and picking up bad habits. With an experienced teacher’s help the pupil can progress quickly, and with more confidence. As an experienced teacher, Ali understands that it's important for pupils to learn music that interests and inspires them. There's nothing worse than learning a piece of music you can't stand for weeks and weeks. That’s why he encourages his pupils to let him know what they want to get out of their lessons.
During lessons we can concentrate on any area of the guitar you want to - whether it's finger-style technique, chord progressions, scales, expressive techniques (such as string bending, trills, or vibrato), or music theory. If you're not interested in certain aspects of guitar, we don't have to work on them. On the other hand, if you're a perfectionist, and you want to learn everything systematically, we can do that too.

Tuition for Children
Kids learn very fast, but if they don't have guitar lessons with a qualified teacher, they could be learning the wrong way. We always try to identify each pupil’s strengths and weaknesses and concentrate on the areas that need development. During lessons we will work on suitable pieces, chords, strumming, scales, keeping in time, general guitar knowledge, and music theory. If you want your child to study grades, we can go through the grade books with them, preparing them for every aspect of the exam. Ali teaches the Trinity College of Music syllabus, which is challenging, very fun, and incredibly informative.
